What has shaped me?

Like most of us, I’ve lived through many versions of myself and each one has shaped the astrologer, mentor, and guide I am today.

In my 20s, I backpacked through Europe, Central America, and Mexico, sometimes for months at a time. In my 30s, I founded and ran a successful jewelry design business, Luscious Metals, with my work eventually appearing in magazines like Cosmo (still proud of that one). I’ve raised incredible children (proudest of that), experienced the beauty and complexity of long-term relationship, grieved the loss of people I deeply love, reinvented myself more than once, and devoted years to personal and spiritual growth.

And I’ve met much of that life in sobriety. I’m approaching 11 years alcohol-free, and one of the unexpected gifts of those years has been learning to be fully present for my own life, the beautiful parts and the painful ones. To stay with what is here. To feel it, learn from it, and allow it to change me.

That kind of living gives you depth.

It has taught me that we don’t move through life in a straight line. We love, lose, change, outgrow, begin again. We encounter old patterns in new forms. And sometimes we need someone who can see the larger story when we’re simply too close to it ourselves.

Astrology eventually became the language through which I learned to see that larger story.

Who am I today?

Today, astrology is my life’s work. I’ve read more than 5,000 birth charts, mentored astrology students, run an apprenticeship program, and spent years studying not only the mechanics of astrology, but the way its patterns reveal themselves through actual human lives.

There is a point when astrology stops being something you simply interpret and becomes something you know how to listen to.

That is where my work lives now.

When I sit with a chart, I’m drawing on years of study and thousands of readings, but also on intuition, pattern recognition, lived experience, and the personal and spiritual work I’ve done in my own life. I can move between different layers of a chart, different periods of your life, and what you’re experiencing now, following the threads until a larger picture begins to emerge.

That kind of fluency can’t be rushed. It comes from years of sitting with charts, sitting with people, and sitting with yourself.
